Mixed results for a spirited Phantoms

Milton Keynes Phantoms went into their recent set of games knowing that any more defeats would seriously dent their chances of making the play-offs.

First up was Warwick's 2nd team, a team who are yet to win this season. League Standings Updated After Decembers Games

January League 2 games look to make big changes in the league standings.
With 6 games this month before phantomsMK play their next game in February, there will be a lot of changes in the table before we next play.
In January all teams will play their catch-up games to put every team on 8 played games, except Warwick II who will be on 6 games played.

Day of ups and downs for the Phantoms

It was a match day of ups and downs for the Phantoms, as they went into their matches with a short bench. Their first match was against Wakefield Wolves, who have remained unbeaten all season. This didn't deter the Phantoms as they ended the Wolves' run and came out 6-3 winners. In a physical match, Phantoms more than matched their opponents and had to play ugly in order to win. Goals coming from coach Mark Sleight, Will Kemptser, Ian Coping, Matt Spring and Andy Hall.

On Remembrance Sunday, Milton Keynes' top Floorball team travelled to Birmingham to play the third and fourth game of the season.

The first game against Nottingham started slowly. After a minutes silence for Remeberance, the two teams spent the first ten minutes feeling each other out. Despite an early injury to Tomas Kuban stopping him from taking any further part in the day, MK started to show that this was going to be their game! Opening games of the season for the Phantoms

Phantoms opened the season with one win and one loss.
This is the third year in a row we have won our opening game of the season!
A 6-4 win against Warwick 1 and a 9-4 loss to Rhinos.

Phantoms have been hit by a number of injuries and players unavailable due to work and family commitments.
For these first two games several shadows players stepped up to help the Phantoms.

The midlands website have announced the teams in the 2nd division. The deadline for entry is 2 weeks away but these are the teams who have signed up. No other teams are looking to join the league so without any surprise entries this will be the final members to the league.

Phantoms finish fourth in debut season

Despite going into their final two games of the season with a chance of finishing second and within reach of a National play-off place the MK Phantoms have finished in a well fought fourth position in their UKFF League debut. The Phantoms started this season with a target of fourth place and that they have done. Phantoms played their last two games of the season with mixed results. First losing to Peterbrough 9-2 and then in the afternoon winning against Warwick 8-3 to end the season in 4th place.
